Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate a loan payment?
Open the Loans section and enter the loan amount, annual interest rate and term in months or years. The app instantly calculates your monthly payment, total interest paid and total amount payable. You can also tap "Amortization schedule" to see the full month-by-month breakdown.
How does the prepayment calculator work?
Go to the Prepayment section. Enter your outstanding loan balance, current interest rate, remaining term and the lump-sum amount you want to repay early. The app shows you how much interest you save and how much the term or monthly payment is reduced — for both options (reduce term or reduce payment).
What's the difference between reducing the term and reducing the payment?
When making an early repayment you can choose:

Reduce the term — you keep the same monthly payment but finish paying sooner. This maximizes interest savings.
Reduce the payment — you keep the original term but pay less each month. This improves your monthly cash flow.

Capital shows the exact interest savings and new schedule for both options side by side.
How do I use the deposit calculator?
Open the Deposits section. Enter the initial deposit amount, the annual interest rate and the term. You can choose between simple and compound interest. The app calculates the total interest earned and the final balance at maturity.
What does the Capital calculator do?
The Capital section calculates the future value and present value of money using compound interest. Enter an initial amount, a periodic contribution (optional), interest rate and term to find out how much your capital will grow over time. It's ideal for planning savings goals and long-term investments.
Can I use the app without an internet connection?
Yes. All calculations in Capital are performed locally on your device and require no internet connection. The app works fully offline at all times.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open the app on your new device, go to Settings → Restore Purchase and tap "Restore". Sign in with the same Apple ID you used when you bought the ad-free version and it will be restored at no additional cost.
Are the calculations accurate?
Capital uses standard financial formulas (French amortization method, compound interest, etc.) to provide accurate estimates based on the figures you enter. Results are for informational purposes only and may differ slightly from your bank's figures due to rounding, fees or specific contract terms. Always verify with your lender before making any financial decision.
Is the app available for Android?
Capital is currently available for iPhone only (iOS 16 or later). We are evaluating Android support for future versions.
