Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how snowballFi ("the app", "we") handles information when you use our iOS app.

1. Data we do NOT collect

The app does not require registration or a user account. We do not collect:

Name, surname or email address
Phone number
Passwords
Location data
Contacts or photos
Browsing history

2. Data that is used

2.1 Calculations and user preferences

All calculations (initial capital, contributions, interest rate, time horizon) and app preferences (selected currency, language) are stored only on your device using iOS local storage (UserDefaults). This data is never sent to or synced with any external server.

2.2 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version displays ads through Google AdMob. Before showing personalised ads, the app requests your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) dialog.

If you allow tracking: AdMob may use your advertising identifier (IDFA) to show you relevant ads.
If you deny tracking: only contextual, non-personalised ads are shown. The app works normally either way.

You can change this permission at any time from Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

2.3 In-app purchases (StoreKit)

The Premium purchase is processed through Apple App Store. We do not store or have access to your payment information. Apple handles the entire process under its own terms and privacy policy. We only receive confirmation that the purchase was successfully verified.

3. Third parties and their policies

4. Third-party domains (advertising)

When the free version displays ads, your device may connect to the following domains operated by Google: googleadservices.com, googlesyndication.com, doubleclick.net, google-analytics.com, app-measurement.com, admob.com. If the user denies ATT permission, these connections are not used to personalise ads.

5. Data retention

Local data (saved calculations and preferences) is stored on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app.

6. Children

The app is a financial education tool suitable for all ages. We do not intentionally collect personal data from any user, regardless of age.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the most recent revision was made. Significant changes will be communicated through an app update.
